the study is going to apply a parabolic trough collector to heat the boiler feed water for an existing steam power plant.
To determine the size and number of collectors of the solar plant, you first need to determine:
• What is the energy demand should meet.
• With what levels of solar radiation do you have in the region where the solar plant will be.
• The climatic conditions of the region.
• The quality and efficiency of the solar collectors that you will install.
With all this information you can have a criterion of the size and number of collectors you will need in your solar plant.
