Hi all,
I am conducting EFA in Mplus. I wonder how I can calculate the eigenvalues for the final factor solution. Another thing I am wondering is whether I can calculate the amount of explained variance by each factor based on the Mplus output.
I have 21 continuous items and a seven-factor solution.
Any help is much appreciated.

It sounds like you want something like the Average Variance Extracted (AVE). There a few online calculators that will do the math for you if you input the factor loadings and error variances. This looks like a nice bundle of functions in Excel that can extract information from Mplus output.
You could probably calculate it directly in Mplus using constraints, similar to way Tenko Raykov did it in LISREL way back in 2001 (DOI:10.1348/000711001159582). This paper has some nice Mplus code that could be tweaked for AVE
