How can I assign and design concrete shear wall in SAP 2000?

Design of concrete shear wall in SAP 2000.

In SAP (up to Ver 15) shear wall design is not available in an explicit manner. SAP can give a couple of stuffs such as required steel area or related force/moments in each mesh. But these parameters are not of the main interest.

It seems the best way is to consider the wall as a column and design it just like a column (of course with wall's cracked stiffness). Location of the virtual column should be along the wall center line.

The same can be also done in the case of nonlinear analysis.
