The Sung valley ultramafic alkaline carbonatite complex exposes a variety of carbonatite rocks in the form of plugs, dykes and veins. The variety range from apatite-rich, apatite-poor, magnetite-rich, magnetite-poor, olivine-rich and olivine-poor carbonatites. Some of these are coarse-, medium- and fine-grained rock. A few are banded but most are massive.
I seek your valuable comments on the genesis of carbonatite and the possible explanation for generating the diverse variations.
