HI, I am new in research about student performance prediction using machine learning techniques. i reads lots of papers but im still confused. Mostly all researchers presented their models applying same their data mining basic steps just using some different attributes. kindly give me ideas i want to propose an different model to predict student performance including basic data mining steps like prepossessing, classification etc thanks

The steps you mentioned are the base steps in building any model,
You can select different algorithms for your model of prediction to find optimum results or you can enhance the results by finding a way to deal with data in preprocessing steps.
