AC power delivered by most UPS is not truly sine-wave, but badly alternate and/or rich in harmonic distortion. This is because modern switching-type power supplies of most electronic devices (PC, TV, battery chargers…) don't require a pure sine-wave AC voltage to properly work.
Audio devices may be sensitive to harmonic distortion in AC supply, instead. So, it is advisable to use UPSs with "true sine-wave" AC output, proper grounding and output filters. Additionally, prefer professional audio devices with balanced I/O and take care they are properly grounded. Balanced audio I/O are better shielded against EMI and RF noise eventually induced in power and audio lines.
Any inverter produces two type of noise. One is generated due to pulse type battery charger and other one is due to conversion of DC into AC once you identify the place of generation you can solve the issue easily.
