Could you please tell me how much in terms of volumes of redox system (gycolic acid, potassium peroxymonosulphate, sulphuric acid) and monomer can I add to the reactor system containing 0,4g/l.
I intend to do graft copolymerization of a biopolymer I already have the various concentrations to optimize grafting but i dont know how much in terms of volume do I need to add,I I am very new in this field,
Graft copolymerization is a technique for modifying the chemical and physical properties of natural or synthetic polymers without drastically affect its essential properties.Grafting is usually careful as result which due to from the propagation produced on the polymer backbone. It is a useful for modifying some of the important properties of simple polymers.
The amount of bio polymer and monomer molar ratio depend on the grafting you need such as 1:1 ,or 1:2 or 1:3-------.Also it depend on the type the unit of natural polymer.

In my case I want use Xanthan gum as basis and graft it with vinyl monomer to have a super adsorbent hdrogels.
you can add 1ml of ceric ammonium nitrate solution
as an initiator.with heatig at 60-70
youcan use sodium per sulfte or ceric ammonium nitrate solution1mlof 2percentage concentration
