plz let me know the mathematical relation of bandwidth of optical bandpass filter(OBPF) with FWHM/Pulse width of optical gaussian regenerated pulse at OBPF output???
actually in my setup, the SPM and XPM signal @ 1552nm is applied to the Gaussian OBPF at 1552.1nm @ 0.1nm offset from data signal wavelength i.e 1552nm.The output of this gaussian OBPF is Gaussian pulses @ 1552.1nm.Now this regenerated signal again applied to another WDM DEMUX based OBPF having a transfer function as attachment.when the gaussian pulse train @ 1552.1nm is placed at linear slope or quadrature slope of WDM DEMUX OBPF,then UWB mono and Doublet pulses generated.By doing so,i am not getting these shapes.Plz comment what should be the parameters of the secong OBPF filter to get these shapes?
attached research paper is the base of my research.Have a look at it please
you raised a reasonable point.Let me make clear that in my setup,i am using a simple Pump Coupler having no coupling ratio. But in the paper they are using a X-coupler having some coupling ratio. There are different types of couplers available in optisystems.
secondly, plz note that non linear medium in my case is HNLF as mentioned in above reply.HNLF spreads the signal in F domain while OBPF selects a narrower portion of that spreaded signal from HNLF.
any way,i need to met with my PhD supervisor now as the problem is not going to solve.I will let you know about the meeting outcome.Meanwhile any clue from your side will be equally helpful for me
i am attaching a research paper where bit rate of the laser sources have not been mentioned but the repetition rate/repetition frequency is mentioned.I am still confused on bit rate and PRF/PRR.I think both are same.PRF is often used in calculating the Peak Power of the laser sources while all power meters in optisystems measure average power.so this is important concept.plz have a look at the paper on yellow highlighted text
