Is there any tutorial pdf or manual to to perform flood susceptibility mapping using machine learning? The research papers that I went through gave theoretical explanation which doesn't provide a way to start work.
Floods have become common natural disasters that lead to destruction to the infrastructure and natural environment.With the striking climate change and weather variability, it might be impossible to prevent floods. However, flood prevention and mitigation can be facilitated by flood susceptibility mapping. The map can be produced based on the AHP methodology which is an multi-criteria decision analysis. Several influencing factors are considered for mapping the flood susceptible areas within the study area,i.e. elevation, slope, geology, drainage density, flow accumulation, land-use/cover, and soil. It is very similar to the groundwater potential mapping and landsilde susceptibility mapping. I have experiences in groundwater potential mapping and landsilde susceptibility mapping using AHP and SVM. If you don't mind, I will do your project with you using your spatial data like DEM and sentinel-2.
