Thank Hesamoddin Mohebbi. But this is about the old version of Endnote, Problem is with Endnote 20. Endnote support team send me an answer on Twitter: Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We're working diligently on a post-release update that should fix this, coming very soon!
Quite annoying and not fixed yet. However, I found a workaround: When selecting more than one entry before running "Find Reference Updates" the function actually works and EndNote saves the updated fields for all entries except the first one. It is needed to confirm the question "Would you like to do this for all remaining references with updates?" with yes.
I've had nothing but problems after moving from x9 to version 20. Syncing... sharing, and now the reference update doesn't do anything. But the workaround does work. EndNote needs to send out a patch!
3- When you do a search reference within library, either it is not searched or it shows only number of references
4- Several References in the Endnote list ... no scroll bar
5- Find Full Text feature is not working with Wiley, ScienceDirect, Elsevier, Oxford publications and some journals at Springer. You need to download pdf and attach it manually
6. Copying references or library is too long process to think about it to share references
Regarding the 'find reference update' - Endnote says they're working on it (which I doubt). Then, they gave me a rather ridiculous way to solve the issue:
"In the interim, as a workaround, click on the ‘Edit Reference’ button in the Review Available Updates window, copy and paste the update across to the references. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I will keep you updated once the issue gets fixed from our end."
The latest update of Endnote 20 is unstable, the references disappear and appear and it's awful. I want to reinstall Endnote 8 or 9. Does anyone have the same experience?
