Solar eclipse is a natural phenomena that happens frequently (several times during the life span of people) and observed on almost all parts of the world. Causes of its happening have been pointed out very clearly now, but its effects on earth's environmental systems perhaps need more clarification. Present question is about the positive and negative impacts of Solar Eclipse on earth's ecosystem. Scientific knowledge based, logical answer can be helpful to understand the matter.
Solar eclipses cannot have a measurable impact on the global ecosystem, I think, because the reduction of solar radiation is effective only in a narrow geographical band and in any place only for a few minutes.
The solar eclipse is one of the astronomical activities within our solar system. It is the interplay between the sun, moon & the earth as they continue in their elliptical path under the effect of the gravitational field. There are no significant impact positive or negative, rather it provides a spectacle to view from the earth surface with some level of caution.
