I've just had some training in this. Please give me your email adress in a personal PM and I'll forward a complete guide to you.

The idea behind the method I know is to set the color space to "Lab" settings and measure the L value in a given area. Of course, this has to be done as a standardized procedure using the same settings and also an aboslute black and white field for comparescent.
