A quick Google search has indicated a few published studies on invasive species in Paraguay - could someone point me in the direction of either some unpublished works or perhaps a research group that is currently investigating this area?
Hi Brian, I work in Argentina on Invasive species and to my knowledge there is very little research on this in Paraguay. Do you want to know what is happening there or want to meet people working on this topic in Paraguay?
Hi Martín, thanks for the reply. I am seriously considering going to Paraguay to do a few months volunteer field work and am looking for an interesting zoological study topic. If there has been little work in this area in Paraguay, it seems like a good option. If I do follow up on this, would you be interested in collaborating?
Hello John, although I cannot answer your question specifically, it is a subject I have been interested in working in the humid chaco, mostly I think perhaps we could work out something out for your time here. I co-direct a small research center/livestock silvopastoral production unit (native grasslands and native forests). Where we have been working on wetland species identification and forest inventory. We welcome researchers to visit and carry out their field work. I can attach some of the thesis we have been doing, unfortunately still in spanish, but hopefully you can see what kind of work we do. Here's are very modest webpage: https://centrochacoamericano.wordpress.com/
Hi Karim, apologies for the delay in responding. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside my control, I can no longer come to Paraguay to work, so will have to put on hold any plan to carry out research there. However, I will get in touch if this should change.
