One of the barriers hindering the implementation of BIM in construction projects is the lack of client demand and the attitude of "wait and see" of the AEC industry. Many Smart Market Reports from McGraw Hill have already analysed business value of BIM but the respondents were limited to Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Consultants and building owners. I think public sector clients are a significant factor which could promote the use of BIM in the projects by requesting for that because public projects account for a considerable proportion of projects in the construction market. I am building up my literature review and knowledge on this aspect but is is hard to find scholarly sources really investigating on that. So I really appreciate your help with references providing that information , especially public sector clients in Australia.
