I am specifically looking for current sources that show how electronic textbooks impact student comprehension. Furthermore, I am looking for literature that discusses how students use the features of an etextbook to enhance student learning. Help!
Is there a particular aspect of electronic textbooks you're intersted in? Do you focus on the 'electronic' part (thus nowadays digital or perhaps even web-based)? That means, on the added value the medium has with respect to traditional books on paper? To me, this seems the most important part. The 'book' part is probably the curriculum aspect: a more or less well defined topic (let's say 'desciptive sdtatistics' for instance), problematised, explained and supplied with exercises.
The choice you make with respect to the above question directs the answers quite strongly.
