I'm looking for something with modest or no licence for academic purposes.
I define modest as a lot cheaper than Survey Monkey Pro (250 p/y)
A very much appreciated feature would be the possibility to allow a team to build the survey and my user to send it.
(For instance surveycrest.com is free but single user).
Is there anything in the middle?

If you have your own server space or if your institution's website can host it limesurvey (www.limesurvey.org) is free and open source. It's pretty flexible and has tons of features, no limitations.
You can add several users who can work on the same survey at different level (admin, content creator, etc).
I have used it several time in the past and it worked out pretty well.
Thank you both, I'll try murvey, and keep limesurvey in sight.
I can not set up the necessary infrastructure for limesurvey, but I review it.

Santiago, I'm using the Gold version of surveymonkey and the results are very good. The investment is worthy and the answers can be downloaded into SPSS' native file format.
Hi Santiago, I am using the Bristol online survey.
It is quite easy to develop the questionnaire and one can design according to the preferences. The results can be seen on regular basis while the survey is live and on completion can easily downloaded into SPSS etc files.
It also allows you to form “Benchmarking Clubs” to run the same survey within multiple organisations simultaneously.

Have you considered trying SoGoSurvey? I was introduced to SoGo Survey during my research courses for my Ed.D., and I'm now planning to use it for my dissertation since I'm going to be doing survey research. I've been using SoGoSurvey for almost two years now, and it has been very easy to use. I've found it to be aesthetically pleasing, cost-effective, and user-friendly.
