I'm qualitatively aware that solid oxide materials will react given the introduction of acid/base solutions; as such I'm looking for a reference that might quantify the rates of these reactions by acid and oxide material. I have a solid which is an amalgam of two oxide materials and I am hoping to react one of the oxides off via an acid wash, but need to do so without strongly perturbing the crystal structure of the other.
