Does annealing thin film metals at lower temperatures have any effect at all?

I was trying to anneal thin film nickel and chromium (less than 500 nm) at a temperature of 250-300 degrees Celsius. From the papers I found, the usual annealing temperature is at least 1000 degrees Celsius.

Can anyone give a scientific explanation for the temperature and it's effects?

Hi Pooja,

The aim of annealing these Ni-Cr film is to investigate the effects this process has on the Seebeck Coefficient of the Ni-Cr thermocouples. So far I have done 250 degree Celcius of annealing in an open environment, and the Seebeck Coefficient is seen to be decreased.

So, it has to do with both physical and electrical properties, I suppose.

Thank you for your suggestion, I shall have a look into it.
