IoT is mutual benefit for both producers or consumers from a point of view producers (financial benefit , reputation , etc..) and consumers (take advantage of the various App areas including health, transport and military , etc..), Modern technology Like it or not it will take up most of our daily lives.
so IoT not much different from the rest of the technological principles .
Of course, so it is called the future IoT which means the above layer for visualizing the IoT, also it is called the new paradigm that integrates the physical world in the digital world.
Heh heh, good question. First, define IoT. To me, for the time being, IoT is simply more of what we already have. More connectivity between devices and the Internet, where that connectivity is already extensive in certain industries. And has been become ever more prevalent in homes too, gradually.
Okay, so now this new term was coined, to describe something that has been occurring already for many years, so who is likely to benefit? Initially, academics who write articles about it, students who write theses about it, standards bodies that develop new standards for IoT (mostly elaborations of existing Internet protocols), while the industries already using this connectivity continue to benefit, as they were before.
We already have home appliances that connect to the Internet, or to your home network at least. If you are one who thinks that monitoring your water heater online is important, you can already benefit. Water heaters connecting to WiFi already exist, for example. They did not need the term "IoT" to exist, before they came on the market.
IoT is a complex system that is yet to realize its full potential. It is internet-oriented, objects-oriented and semantic-oriented. It offers both organizational and customer benefits. Some industries it offers more organizational benefits than customer benefits e.g. Healthcare. While the organizational benefits of IoT have been know for sometime (RFID or sensor enabled), the customer side is getting more emphasis in recent past (e.g. smart mirrors or RFID music tags or smart rooms). Its applications are wide and it will be the new paradigm of doing business with customers. IoT would enable firms to co-ordinate more closely with customers and is expected to revolutionize various industries. No wonder, IoT is seen by many as Internet of Everything.
Yes, I believe so. The potential of IoT is the huge amount of data/information generated as well as is a mean of data communications or information delivery. Through IoT, producers know more about their consumers as well as their demands and feedback; and the consumers know about the producers, their products, and whatever the producers want to deliver to their consumers. Furthermore, with IoT all the information about tradings between producers and consumers can be easily tracked, monitored, processed.
Businesses can reap many benefits from the Internet of Things. IoT can be useful in many different categories including asset tracking and inventory control, shipping and location, security, individual tracking, and energy conservation. IOT has the ability to monitor factors such as temperature setting, vibration, and pressure helps ensure quality output, potentially leading to greater customer satisfaction and continued to repeat business.IOT can guarantee the quality of service that is given to customers.
IoT has the ability to track individual consumers and targeting these consumers based on the information supplied by the devices. IOT provides a more “personalized” system that could potentially increase business sales and increases their demographic. Additionally, with the increased amount of devices connected to the Internet the Smart Grid expands, conserving more energy. Devices can make decisions and adapt without human guidance to reduce their energy usage.
IoT is beneficial for all stakeholders, including manufacturers and consumers. Using resources more efficiently, increasing productivity, managing more complex systems and having clear visibility over the whole IoT system are just some examples how manufacturers can benefit from IoT, while consumers can benefit from having more customized products for less end price.
