Usually, it provides a singlet at 5.37 ppm in 1H NMR spectroscopy. But i got one NMR with two singlets at 5.21 and 5.44 ppm. Did they belong to CH2of benzoyl benzoate, or could it be something else??? Please shed light on this issue. Thanks
One of possibility is that out of two singlet one may be due to Dichloromethane, one of most common impurity of Chloroform NMR solvent. ( CH2 singlet appears between 5.0 to 5.5)
...Tabrez's idea (that it is an impurity!) may be subtantiated by looking on the integrals...are both singulet integrals identical or clearly different?
