Is the rolling shutter in the DJI Mavic 2 Pro a problem for SfM reconstruction? Would I just need to use a relatively high shutter speed to avoid issues or am I better off with a Phantom 4 Pro or 3DR Solo with a DX- or FX-format (large) sensor compact with a fixed lens?

I actually use a DJI Mavic 2 Pro for SfM reconstruction with a normal speed shutter and i don't encountered any problem until now (I use Pix4D for dense cloud, mesh and orthomosaic reconstruction). I'm very interested if you have any answers or if you find some studies dealing with comparison between Mavic Pro 2 and DJI Phantom 4 for SfM reconstruction. best regards

I think the Phantom 4 Pro has a global (mechanical) shutter for stills, but I'm not 100% sure. I was thinking about using a Phantom 4 as a platform to haul a large-sensor compact on a gimbal.

After additional research, it sounds like a camera with a global shutter is preferred. If you already have Mavic 2 Pro (Antoine Mury), you can help mitigate issues related to its rolling shutter by flying slower, using a higher shutter speed, and using software such as Pix4D which incorporates rolling shutter correction algorithms (not perfect but helpful).
