In attached files I provided a differential scanning calorimetry thermogram of bacterial cellulose. Figure is from the acticle: Surma-Ślusarska, B., Presler, S., & Danielewicz, D. (2008). Characteristics of bacterial cellulose obtained from Acetobacter xylinum culture for application in papermaking. Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe, 16(4), 108-111. In the most of articles, only two maximums are analyzed - water evaporation (80-140 deg. C, endothermic) and sample decomposition (320-400 deg. C, exothermic). However, there may also occur peak endothermic peak in between 200-300 deg. C. It is poorly visible on provided graph, however, some tendencies for endothermicity is seen. And the question is what is this maximum related to, due to the fact that it may be sometimes more or less visible - DSC sample preparation, glass transition temperature, degradation of composite impurities or additives etc.? And the following question - what information may be concluded from this region? A lot of thanks for any kind of response, idea or reference link.
