I am trying to find out the difference between long -term and short -term Granger Causality between variables in VECM model. As per my understanding on E-Views short Term Granger Causality is found out using Wald Test (Chi - square value) and the long term Granger Causality is found using the Granger Causality/ Block Exogeneity test. If one variable (in my case Covid - 19) in short run is Granger Causing the other variable (Gold) does not necessarily imply it will Granger cause in the long run aswell.

Furthermore the Wald test also tests for significance of the variable in the model? if the p-value is less than 5% (CI) we can reject the null hypothesis and deduce that the variable (Covid Cases) is significant but is not granger causing the other variable (Gold)

My understanding with VAR and VECM is limited, the question might be quite basic for many but it's a bit confusing for me.
