Hi All,
Can anyone please let me know that what is the difference between a normal material (whose refractive index doesn't vary with wavelength e.g. Silica) and a Lorentz-Drude dispersive (whose refractive index varies with wavelength e.g. Ag, Au, Cu...). The difference needed is in terms of application to 2-D photonic crystal waveguides or in general how they will behave in front of light. My study is focused on the dispersion compensation by different materials applied to photonic defects.
