Dear colleagues, could you give me a pathophysiological explanation of the usual sparing of temporal lobes in sporadic white matter hyperintensirties?

One of the differentiating points of sporadic WMHs from CADASL as well as hyperintensities due to MS is the sparing of the temporal lobes in the former. Explanation of this observation may provide us a clue about the pathogenesis of WMHs and the possible treatment measures, Sincerely
