Time to admit :

We don't collect data. We collect SIGNALS

And Signals are bits of Traces detected according to our Natural, Human or Engineered sensitivity.

But those Traces are there, in the Environmental Mediation, in the Exchange Necessity and in Entities Results.

So, please stop putting an equal between Trace and Signal, and, more important, and equal between Signal and Data.

Data is what we decide it exists/ it does not exist. And it is managed consciously by our willingness and subconsciously by our reasoning capabilities ( the way we assess Patternicity, Causality and Agenticity).

In this sense, the BIG data is just pack of signals that cannot be relevant if not collected from the area described by certain Situation, Rapport or Issue. The same is valid for small data.
