I am working on illumination independent color models. Apart from HSV, CIELab is there any model which is illumination independent?
Dear Anup,
I think that 'colour constancy' is the keyword
YCbCr is a color space with luminance and chrominance separated
you can find more information about color model here:

Article An Appropriate Color space to Improve Human Skin Detection
The color model l1 l2 l3 proposed by T.Gevers -[1999] is a photometric invariant for matte as well as for shiny surfaces. These color features determine uniquely the direction of the triangular color plane spanned by the two reflection terms.
you can find the paper in the attachment.
thanks for your suggestion Ehsan, let me try on my data

It is said that RCM is illumination independent. Can anybody explain how it works?
