I want to perform Raman spectroscopy of IL electrolyte in its pure state and then 2 other samples at fully charged and discharged state. But I don't know how to get and prepare sample from the POUCH CELL after charging and discharging the battery. Could anyone please guide me in this regards, thanks.
Are you filling the pouch cells on your own and do they still have excess pouch material for the degassing step attached?
Something I do with regular electrolytes is filling my pouch cells with an excess of electrolyte (for standard NMC/graphite cells I used 10 g of electrolyte per 1 Ah instead of 4 g/Ah).
After cycling / storing the cells I open them inside the glove box to regain the liquid.
You might need to centrifuge them afterwards to seperate particles from the electrodes within the solution before you can actually transfer them into the Raman sample holders.

If you do not have an excess of electrolyte in the cell you will need to recover it from the separator and/or electrode. After disassembling the cell in the glovebox, you can recover the separator and insert it into a micropipette tip. This you then place it into a centrifuge vial, and centrifuge it at max speed for a while (depends on the viscosity of the IL). After centrifugation, the IL will simply collect on the bottom of the centrifuge vial. The micropipette tip just acts as funnel...
