Some countries are struggling with a lack of capacity and resources, some others with a lack of resolve. To slow the virus and control it. the advice that i can give is firstly to be calm cause panic takes us nowhere and secondly to wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer if you are outside, cause by protecting ourselves, we are preventing the onward transmission.

Wearing a face mask if you are sick is also important. But the most important thing to do for now, to better prevent coronavirus from spreading is to STAY at home for at least two weeks.

The governments must appreciate and encourage young researchers and help them we have welly great ideas but always the financial matter is the problem.

Yes, Mohamed, the vaccine is mandatory to get rid of this pandemic, but these days the most wanted treatment is the Hydroxychloroquine. The question posed: is he effective?

Instead, treatments like chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine are being deployed based on their approved use in similar situations, like in Malaria, so treatment by chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine should be further explored to know more about the adverse effects, cause chloroquine is known to have significant side effects and can be deadly at a relatively low dose.

Meanwhile, researchers are trying hard to find various forms of treatment, but they will take time to produce results. treatment using hydroxychloroquine will continue due to the emerging viral infection

You're right Leila Bou-Salah, the scientists did there best and the challenge is waiting for the results of the clinical trial and that's take time especially in this situation only time will reveal the effectiveness of this treatment against covid19.

I understand the urgency with which we are all searching prevention and treatment options for the COVID-19, and a "Ray of Hope" is what everyone needs now, so we need to accept this treatment temporarily, but as experts, we have to be also vigilant and warn (general population) against self-medicating, cause for now there isn’t any evidence about how hydroxychloroquine works exactly against the virus. and as i said it before, the best way for prevention is :

- Self-quarantine ( by protecting ourselves, we are preventing transmission).

There is an emerging realisation COVID-19 is not only transmitted by aerosol but also by the fecal-oral route. First, thank you all for the participation in this discussion, second, one of the important things that we should discuss now is the recovered persons from the covid19 according to the statistics over 139 555 has been recovered, now, the problem is most of this people thinks that they can go out normally and they are immune now against the covid19.

What they don't know is there are 4 other receptors for the Covid-19. The experts await to be the second infection more dangerous and deadly than the first.

We need to remind the recovered are also concerned for the Quarantine like anyone.

The question now is : What happens after you recover from coronavirus ? how long recovered people will remain infectious ? and after recovery, how long might immunity to COVID-19 last? knowing that in the case of many past viruses, the immunity can last years.

Is it really a "second infection"? or a possibility of :

• Faulty /over-sensitive diagnostic testing techniques
• The virus had become dormant for a time and then re-emerged
• Patients can be wrongly designated as “recovered” (false negatives) and released too early from hospitals.

It is too early to jump to conclusion, and this topic is an area that requires additional studies. meanwhile, those who have been recovered must continue to follow the hygiene steps, and staying away from people who are sick.

The availability of healthcare in general and specifically critical care will affect case fatality. In China and Italy where large numbers of healthcare professionals were infected the capacity to deliver healthcare was substantially reduced.

So, as the COVID 19 pandemic progresses we will need to upskill colleagues to facilitate the assessment and treatment of critically ill patients with and without COVID 19. This may be achieved by face-to-face education sessions. However this is very labour intensive and may result in spread of COVID 19 amongst healthcare professionals.

An alternative approach would be to use standardised checklist proformas for the assessment of critically ill patients (see link below).

In addition to what was said by all colleagues, there is a need to find out how this happened? What triggered this pandemic? Who is responsible? First we should follow all precautions against covid conditions, then we should teach other people to use the PPE.

Unless, like New Zealand and China--- you do not start severely bending the curve---then the next 3-6 months look like they will still be out of control, for countries like the USA, Brazil, India, and Russian ?

For the moment we must accomplish the recommended preventive measures established by the WHO and to look for a successful vaccine perhaps in the near future (in several months).

What SHOULD we do? Just like China and New Zealand--40 day massive severe Lock Down! AND then, COMPLETE ERADICATION in each COUNTRY.

--Otherwise, this pandemic can go on for 60-85 years! Look at the dozen of pandemic diseases that were introduced to the Americas from Europe, that are still causes cases and killing people hundreds of years later, even WITH vaccines:

--Influenza - 3-5 million cases worldwide with 250-500K deaths, for example.

Along with the 40-DAY severe China-style Lock Down that we all must prepare for, that would include a 40-day ground of ALL aircraft around the world also.

Otherwise those aircraft will become vector to re-infect, as you can see from how many of those Covid-mosquitos are in the air right now--and people in Europe wondering why their numbers are shooting up--the Covid is being spread overhead every minute!
