Can somebody refer me to a study of compatibilization of a blend HDPE + LDPE + PP ?
Goal of compatibilization : composite with descent mechanical properties. Cases with fiber reinforcement and similar techniques AS AN EXTRA MEASURE are also interesting.
I would try PE-PP block copolymers of various compositions. Unfortunately I have no direct experience. I do not know how much is disclosed by manufacturers on block length - although much can be found out by measuring their DSC characteristics. It is also possbile that ethylene-octene copolymers may be of help (EXACT). This a trial and error matter anyway.
Different flow properties and melting temperatures will not give problem free extruded and injection molded parts.

I suggest to use high impact polypropylene as a compatibilizer between PE & PP, another option is to use EPR copolymers (without the diene monomer). Wehter to use is upon the desired mechanical properties.

I suggested this by some experiences at a previous job, therefore I have not any data or paper. High impact Polypropylene is a PE-iPP block-copolymer, where the latter is major contributor. On the other hand, EPR is a PE-PP copolymer (mainly random), where ratio use to be 1:1 to 1:3. Please look for TDS available at the web and you will have a very good picture which one works the best for your purposes.
The polymers you mentioned are non-polar. If you want to introduce polar fibers as reinforcement, the bonding in them will not be good. So maleic anhydride grafted HDPE, LDPE, PP (to an extent of 5% generally) are added with the prestine polymer and make a blend and use it as matrix to get better interfacial bonding.

I've read in one of your papers that the additive KELTAN 5170P (crystalline ethylene-propylene rubber) works like compatibilizer with PE and PP polyolefins.
Did your try that?

No, I've not tried that. I'm no longer busy with that project, but it's still running.
