Dear Mauro,

Thank you for your observation. I did try them again and the sites were closed. I have sought other materials that maybe useful. However, I have noted that the articles I have read deal mainly with the elderly/seniors, as such you study promises new insights. I do understand that the design needs for women are slightly different and should be considered.

In a book I edited (GENERARE L’UMANO IN RSA E DINTORNI - Generating the human in the nursing homes and surroundings - Edizioni Maggioli) the sixth chapter is entitled: The habitat, paradigm of the existential space in the nursing homes.

In close connection with the progress of science and the organization of health services, it has become imperative to grow the culture of humanization and personalization of care. The new culture therefore invests the places of care as a whole, calling into question architecture, technologies, interhuman relationships and diagnostic and therapeutic processes.

The book offers a framework of good practices and innovative solutions for the well-being of patients, but also of their families and the personnel of nursing homes.

The book is in Italian.
