I would like to try and connect a grid tie inverter (80VDC in) and a MPPT charge controller for another off grid system. Looking and listening to the output from the array it seems that the grid tie inverter shunts the array at several different frequencies, so I am a bit worried about paralleling the two systems together. From what I have read so far extra MPPT devices need to be synced together (I assume to satisfy the pulsing requirement for charging). Has anyone else got a system similar to this going?
My other system is to split the array and run two separate circuits to each device, but I am just interested in finding out any pitfalls with the parallel method.
Many thanks in advance.
