I need some help to identify these plants from these pictures only.
These pictures are of lignite deposits of Plio-Pleistocene rocks in Trinidad (Tropical climate). The surrounding rocks are interpreted as estuarine-type deposits. Any assistance or direction to journals or publications will be appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for your answers! This is an old photograph, and unfortunately all that I have to work with. This was a pretty weathered block at a coastal outcrop. Chance favours the prepared, and at the time of the photograph I wasn't as prepared, so I didn't think to sample or break it apart for more clues. An examiner has suggested that I figure out what the plants were to possibly add some supporting evidence to my palaeoenvironmental interpretations.
It is very understandable that I may not have an answer to satisfy him/her. I thought it was worth a try! Thank you again.

I think, the fossilien Y form, a Thalassionides minimus Jámbor Áron 1987. This is a Lebenspuren faune in the late Miocene.

I am in agreement with Mária that some of the leaf material in your photos looks like it could be sea grass. However, other compressions could be ?bamboo (left side of 1st photo) and ?cycad (axis with leaflets in 2nd photo).. Bottom line, it looks like it could be a mixed flora containing plant remains of possibly both marine and terrestrial plants.
Careful prep work is necessary and processing of a sample for palynomorphs would both help to answer your questions.

This charcoal work is in fact the woody parts of the plant, and the birth certificate identifies the species and plant species of the leaf structure.
I see in the first picture, a selectively oxidized stem of a plant, a twig, kind of. In the second, the the twig has attached leaves, two of them in a v- pattern. The difference in sizes are due to preservation. One may not be able to tell if monocot or dicot, though monocot seems more likely. If you work in the tropics you would have known that these are wonderful preservations.

I did spore-pollen and dinoflagellate examination from the Miocene layers. That's why I didn't saw the Y-shape remains. Perhaps it is not the Thalassinoides minimus Jámbor, but I compared Annalise remains to it.

The Y shape I referred. to is the junction of the two shorter structures to the main longer horizontal one. Pollen does not arise because these are megafossils not micro.
