How eddy covariance LE data can be used to precisely estimate ET over a fetch region? Can remote sensing ET estimate be better if we use LE instead of H in calculation?
Now I have few questions for you. Which eddy covariance (EC) data are you talking about? I also have EC flux tower data and I directly get ET, LE, H, G measurements.
So far I am also getting ET data from MODIS, and I do not need to convert LE to ET.
Regarding if we can get better remote sensing ET: It depends on your scope and area of study because remotely sensed ET comes at grid and EC Flux tower measures at point.
For example, MOD16A2 ET data is availabe at 500m spatial scale. Please explore this link.
Thank you very much for illuminating me on this aspect. I have LE data from eddy covariance system here, it do not convert it to ET directly, hence i'm interested in measuring ET using eddy LE data.
Thank you for sharing the links. It really helped me to learn more.
Sir, I have another query to you regarding PhD position in A& M University. I'm interested in this kind of works like ET, climate change impact on agriculture, crop modelling, eddy covariance etc. If needed I can send you my CV . It would be great if you can provide me some information regarding my PhD options there.
