I have been concerned with AI long before Elon Musk has having had some knowledge about the way that IBM works. My wife was employed by them as a systems engineer for ~ 6 years. We immediately knew what IBM's next moves were to be when "Big Blue had won the "Jeopardy" competition. I also was aware that IBM's profitability performance had been very poor for about 5-8 years and they had recently hired a new CEO to clean house. So that we were confident about knowing of what was about to happen.

I've followed the quite optimistic discussions about this in Research Gate which led to this thought " Everyone should be aware and very "clear eyed" about this because the down side of this could be extremely dangerous,. Everyone should "wake up" and have discussions as grown ups because once we've started down this path there's no going back. We stand the possibility of losing everything.
