Earth's inner most part (Core of the Earth) is the hottest one, if due to some reseans earth's heat energy/radioactive energy is stopped to release from the surface of the earth and starts to store inside and this inside-stored energy begins to increase like a pressure build-up.
According to all theories, the earth cools with time. The outer shell of the earth acts as insulator, so if heat stops to be emitted from the inside of the earth, it will maintain its status quo. The heat released through volcanoes and hot springs is small relatively to the heat stored inside the earth. And the heat released from the molten core of the earth, thanks to the insulation properties of the outer layers of earth, is also relatively small.
No, the earth has no potential to be a bomb of any sort. The internal heat of the earth is mostly the remnant of heat produced by the earth's formation including that released during gravitational contraction of the proto-earth, by kinectic energy from impacting asteroids and other bodies and from radioactive decay of radioisotopes within the earth. At this point in time the earth is slowly cooling from the inside out.

The Earth has been leaking thermal energy since creation, but with different rates over time. We know from Achaean crust that temperatures were hotter when crust was thinner near start of Earth formation. Since then the amount of energy realised by gravitation contraction and radioactivity has been decreasing. One by one the radioisotopes are disappearing depending on their half-life. Even as in theory the thermal energy generation is decreasing, there is still an incredible amount of energy still stored and all volcanic eruptions and plate tectonics are related to the constant slow flow and release of this thermal energy from the centre to the surface,
There are also publications about the point of time when interior of the earth will be so sold that the mantle will be solid. The mars is according to researchers in that field a good example what is happening to a planet when it cools with the time.

No nothing will explode. Earth is cooling and loosing energy. And radioactivity is diminuishing with time and not increasing. So no hope that radioactive decays energies will heat the earth by time.
