I'm Nur Aeni from Indonesia. I want to ask you about VCO based chirp generation. I have built a chirp generator from VCO. I used IC MC1648 for VCO, but I have a problem, when I input ramp signal from Xr2206 module to VCO, the chirp signal does not come out. My question is, can I use IC MC 1648 for VCO?

What is the range of the frequency of the output signal ?

To configure The MC1648 as Voltage Controlled Oscillator, it requires an external parallel tank circuit consisting of the inductor (L) and capacitor (C). Hence you can use MC 1648 as an VCO.

thoroughly. This is always true of any integrated circuit. Designers
invariably put of greal deal of effort into writing these documents, as
well as supporting application notes. You should never expect an IC
to read your mind as to what you specifically want it to do, or even a
single transistor. You must be the dance choreographer.
