I was interested about the RVA but didn't find money for buying. In theory it is possible to measure the viscosity because the viscosity is measured by instruments in cP and the working protocol could be set manually - time/speed/temperature. Olso, the cup is filled by operators with ingredients. Instead of water and other ingredients could be filled with the solution already prepared. I know that it is difficult to prepare solutions from gums.
You could prepare the solutions outside of the RVA's cup and fill the cup with the solution already prepared.
