Please don't use Matlab for research. It's proprietary software and as such whatever you do with it is not reproductible if you don't have the license. There are excellent (and fast) implementations of evolutionary algorithms in most software packages, such as jMetal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-objective_optimization (check the packages section) This last has also an excellent support via Github issues.
