There are a lot of free daily rainfall products. They are based on satellite data, observed gridded data or reanalysis datasets.
Just for example, you can use the Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) dataset: http://www.gewex.org/gpcpdata.htm
or the Global Precipitation Climatology Centre (GPCC) data: http://www.dwd.de/bvbw/appmanager/bvbw/dwdwwwDesktop?_nfpb=true&_windowLabel=T12404818261141645314319&_urlType=action&switchLang=en&_pageLabel=_dwdwww_klima_umwelt_datenzentren_wzn
If you want to use a reanalysis product you can try ERA Interim from ECMWF: http://www.ecmwf.int/research/era/do/get/era-interim
We are worknig on rainfall estimation on global scale using satellite soil moisture data (SM2RAIN). In the near future we will provide also this source of rainfall data.

Try this also ftp://ftp.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/fews. Any specifications of grid resolution or point data will help to fine tune the sources as per your subject of study.
For Indian data you may also check http://mosdac.gov.in
For near-real time visualization purposes you can use http://dma.jrc.it/?application=floods, which shows TRMM rainfall data in combination with flood monitoring systems. This system uses a WMS service based on NASA TRMM data.
Here the paper where we developed three new global scale rainfall datasets from soil moisture data: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/261596843_Soil_as_a_natural_raingauge_estimating_global_rainfall_from_satellite_soil_moisture_data?ev=prf_pub
