You might give a try to play with [vagrant](http://www.vagrantup.com/) to configure and play with openstack in a fully isolated environment.

Install virtualization software such as Xen or KVM or Virtual Box or Vmware in your system.

Create two VM's and make those two VM's as your Node. [Create VM as per you requirement like OS, Machine Architecture etc]

I tried with Qemu in my Server and I was able to launch Para Virtualized Xen Guests from the VM.

This is Nested Virtualization.

But you need a High End Configuration Laptop, as this will create heavy load in the System.
