Resource provisioning covers a wide range of sub topics, so you need to decide what specifically, would interest you for your research. I have added a list of references in this area to get you started. If you copy the title of each paper into Google Scholar, you should be able to download the paper for free.

Once you have read through these papers, you should have a much better idea of which kind of area you might like to research. You want to try to find current challenges which have not yet been solved.

That should give you a much clearer idea of what kind of area would suit you.
