Can anyone suggest how to compute the eigenvalues of a matrix polymial where their coefficients are symmetric? May be something like QZ algorithm?

While working with Differential-Algebraic Equations with Delay, I face with the problem of computing the eigenvalues of a matrix polynomial, where the matrix coefficients are symmetric/skew-symmetric.

1. Can anyone suggest a way to do it?

2. Are there also matrix decomposition or algorithm like QZ for more than 2 matrices?
