We have a circulator that works best at a water temperature of 30 +/- 1 deg. C.
Unfortunately, we have de-ionized cooling water at 25 deg. C.
We are searching for a mobile (well, on rollers, the expected weight is 50 kg or more) cooling System that can both cool and heat so that the temperature window of 30 deg. C is reached.
Thus I like to have a temperature precision in the order of 1/10 deg. C.
The room temperature is in the order of 21 deg.
So at start the System would need to heat. When 30 deg. C is reached the microwave circulator can be operated. Then from operation a Maximum heat load of 500 W is expected.
I found an US american Company that can offer such kind of combined heating and cooling System.
I wonder if there are other companies in Europe or Gemany that have such Systems in stock?

based on your description here is my advise. Probably you need a thermal bath, that is a combination of a refrigerating cycle and an heating system, with the ability to have a stable control of temperature (which stability is declared by the manufacturer). The fluid inside the thermal bath could be the same of the circuit or a secondary fluid, if contamination has to be avoided. There are several manufactures of thermal bath with products available on stock, especially for so low powers. One quite famous for laboratory instruments is Lauda, but there are a lot of companies with stores in Europe.. It is enough a quick search on the web. Good luck,

My problem is not so much on the technical side. As you pointed out, the setup is comparable to a temperature controlled bath. Well, in my case it would not be a bath but it is just a different shape.
My problem is that so far I found a company, which is located in the United States.
In case of technical problems, it would be better to find a company, which is located more near. With web search, most times I end up at the US company, which I already know. Therefore I am asking for recommendations. I will check Lauda.
Now I got you right... I confirm my suggestion for Lauda (originally from Switzerland, now a global company.. anyway they are able to guarantee service all around the world through local outsourcing services). regards, William
Thank you Ralf. Some time ago at Juelich for the same purpose we used a heater circuit in the cooling water on the way to the RF circulator for the 500 MHz superconducting cavity test stand.
So I was hoping to apply the idea at GSI, too.
However the persons responsible for cooling here in GSI don't like the idea that additional heat is send to the main cooling system.
