Can anyone explain how Spectroscopy or Analytical Techniques will have impact on Nanotechnology or Nano materials in near future?

Is it possible to have Spectroscopy to be interlinked with Nano Technology ?

Research teams are conducting researches to form correlation from 2015, if I remember correctly. So, interlinking relation of these two, i guess is just around the corner, waiting to be unraveled.
