It is used in other countries like in china. Generally the silica is the main component of this but it is costly to get. I want any other option for that.if any one want to share some knowledge about it mail me on
Me too is working on this Pozzolan effect but trying to work out with something else other than silica fume. I had my thoughts on Fly ash. Compared to other powder, FA has been one of popular approach for Pozzolan effect. What say you?
Ya we can use fly ash but it is not going to be a new research, it is only change of one material and the basic concept is same . And there are different types of f.a, all are not contains goog percentage of silica.
When I was at Structural Engg Research Centre, I had carried out considerable research on RPC. Please be in touch with me, if you and your college/dept is serious to work on the topic.
Hello, I am a Ph. D student and my thesis is related by Reactive Powder Concrete, so you could find an interesting information about the application and the idea of this special concrete, on this web site: http://www.ductal-lafarge.com/
RPC requires deep understanding of particle packing (Larrard, Dewar, etc), special mixing tool, besides excellent selection of ingredients. At my earlier time at CSIR-SERC, we could reach 250 MPa strength level. Ms Emanuela Emanuilova Manolova can share her actual title and details of the work undertaken.
