Can I request for your help about finding rheological properties-like relaxation time- of some polymers. Do you know valid and reliable reference(s) in this field?
I would like to suggest you to follow Dr. A. K. Lele's, (Scientist at CSIR-NCL, Pune) articles. He has pioneering work in the filed of Rheology of various systems.
You can find information on the rheological properties of polymers in the following book:
A. V. Shenoy and D. R. Saini, Thermoplastic Melt Rheology and Processing, Marcel Dekker Inc., New York (1996).
Chapter 6 gives Rheological Models for Unified Curves and in Table 6.5 which gives the rheological parameters of the modified Carreau Model, you will find a measure of the relaxation time for various types of thermoplastics – LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP, PS, Cellulose Ester, Cellulose Ether, Acrylic, Nylon, PET, PC, PVDF, PPO, PPS, PAS,PES, PEEK, PEI, PAr, SBS, ABS, EVA. The Table provides you with values of the product of the time constant with the Melt Flow Index (MFI) for each generic-type of thermoplastic. For any polymer, if you know the MFI value, you will be able to get at least an approximate estimate of the relaxation time from the values given in the Table 6.5.
