Looking for scientific research papers on the studies of rainwater harvesting structures in most rain fed areas of the world as mean to utilize the amount of rainwater wasted through infiltration and evaporation yearly.
@Abraham Blum, thanks for your sources. I hope if will give me some insight about the topic that I want to work on.
My question was indeed "old" base on local areas situation and since the technologies of rainwater harvesting structures is not in place then I think this will be new concept to local who are going to benefits from it.. Thanks for your time
Tagging the question as "old" meant that this is a long standing problem that has not really been given proper attention - and a new revitalized interest, as yours, should be very welcomed.
Walgak, Surely any kind of storage structure is a mitigation measure for drought and climate change impact. Back in 2006, we organised a National Conference on Rainwater Harvesting and Water Management (RAINHARVEST 2006). Proceedings are in my RG page. There is an edited volume published by UNESCO too. Please have a look at them; you will find ample literature. Best,
