Arsell Grossman Albert's savior: In 1912, during his engagement in general relativity, Einstein wrote to Grossman: "You must help me in this, otherwise I will be saved." Grossman was a talented scientist in mathematics and a disciplined student. He helped Einstein with insight and high imagination at crucial moments. Legend has it that Einstein often missed class, relying on Grossman's memoirs to pass exams.
