I have data in seg2 and in sac format. I usually use SAC or Seismic Unix, but I would like to have information on the existence of tools in matlab to facilitate the picking operation by graduate students.

Dear Amoroso, I am not good on picking but You may write your own tools by using something like this:
[x,y] = ginput(1);
in this manner you will be able to pick any point on the plot screen.
I cant help you maam i dont use matlab nor i like it. The last time i hear about was in 2004. And i am happy not to use it. If you want a software create ur own with java and javafx. For covid and seism in italy.
